Recently, I read about this “feature” (from the article below) that Facebook is making available for its users. It offers up suggestions on status updates. I know you are not so uninspired that a generic Facebook automated suggestion would be more appealing than what you would come up with on your own, right? While there may be an ocassion or two when this might be okay for a personal page, this should never be done for a business page. Yes, it is necessary to post regularly. Yes, it is important that your readers see your business name. But every post should mean something, it should have some significance with your business. Don’t waste a post. Engage your audience. You have so much to say…so much to offer. Take a deep breath and connect with your viewers and visitors. They will appreciate even a small, but authentic sentence from you!

Reader Chris Ruberg, social community specialist at OneCommand, shared the screenshots below with SocialTimes, in which it appears that trending topics are suggested as possible subjects for status updates.
Ruberg added that when users hover over topics, brief descriptions appear.
After commenting on a friend’s post about the National Basketball Association Finals last week, reader Jedrzej JD Derylo shared a screenshot with SocialTimes in which he was prompted to comment on the game because, “The Cavaliers are playing today.”
